So, yeah… I have a job now and I’ll be starting college in a few months. I can’t seem to keep up with the Hollywood news as much as I would have liked.

For this blog, I’m going on hiatus. I want to concentrate more on my college blog, Kill Jill Goes To College. I did a redesign of it and I think it just has more potential than this one.

Besides, there’s a pop culture blog everywhere you look these days. I’m sure this one won’t be missed too much.

FINALLY!!! A “plus size” (i.e. NORMAL) model was given the title of America’s Next Top Model! *does a booty shake for all the hot full-figured mamas out there* And it only took 10 seasons to do it.

The final three left standing at the beginning of last night’s episode were African goddess Fatima, Rivendale elf pale Hawaiian weird-accented-but-totally-unique Anya and the bootylicious Whitney. Fatima was eliminated after the commercial round. From there, Anya and Whitney went on to walk in a real Versace fashion show.

Honestly, I expected Anya to win. She’s totally high fashion, she’s so unique-looking and she won quite a few of the challenges. Plus, it would be just too awesome for a curvy lady to win. But she did.

Hugs, kisses and booty shakes all around!

Ellen Page is said to be signed on to play the title role in yet another adaptation of the Bronte classic, Jane Eyre. This could be so different for her. (Read more here.) But I swear, if Jane Eyre was just walking in a field and in the background, a gaggle of teenage boys in running gear go jogging by, I’d probably pee myself. (Watch the movie Juno if you did not get that reference.)

At last- at long last, Dominique (i.e. “The Trannie”) was eliminated from America’s Next Top Model. Ugh. Finally! Not only does she look mannish, she’s such an idiot. Some of her quotes were so hilarious. There was one about being like Mother Teresa that pretty much made my day. Only crummy thing about seeing Dominique go bye bye, no more “trannie voice” for Miss Jay. *sigh* Next week is the finally of Cycle 10. Ch’yeah.

Angela Kinsey (”Angela” of the NBC sitcom The Office) has given birth to a daughter (Isabel Ruby Liberstein). Read more!

I gave up watching most of the pre-results Dancing With The Stars show so I could watch another episode of The Tudors. In the episode I just watched, Sir Thomas More was executed. I tell you, I almost cried. I’ll miss him. Natalie Dormer’s acting has been so impressive this season. I bet she’ll have some even better acting coming up too. But she’s been perfect, pouty and pissy. She pulls it off well. I hope she gets nominated for an Emmy this year. She deserves at least that.

Okay, fine. I was wrong about Dancing With The Stars. AGAIN. Marissa was the first safe one called at the end of the show- so she goes on to the semi-finals next week. Joining her next week are Kristi, Cristián and Jason. Mario was eliminated. I was not upset by this, as he and Jason were left standing at the end and I kept thinking “Noooooo!! Not Jason!!! Do NOT say Jason!!!” and they didn’t. Good. It’s not that I didn’t like Mario, it’s just that… uh… I liked the other competitors more…

House was actually pretty good last night. I found House’s kidnapping-of-a-soap-star pretty hilarious. Plus, Wilson’s attempt to “take care of” Cut Throat Bitch Amber by getting the firm mattress. And then he gets a water-bed… and then hates it. (I swear if Robert Sean Leonard were any cuter…)

Dancing With The Stars was kind of surprising last night. The people who were expected to do great things did… not so great. Meanwhile, Cristián did very well, albeit while using only one arm!

The highlight of the show for me? BRUNO TONIOLI!! I adore that tiny Italian! He gets so passionate and expressive and nearly hits Len in the face every time! Adore him.

Tonight’s the show’s 100th episode and lots of things are planned, so it should make for an entertaining evening.

I was so so so happy to read this article recently on MSN.ca news. I was previously angered by the tabloids that have hounded Jennifer Love Hewitt, always concentrating on her weight. First she was too skinny and now they make her sound like she’s obese. Jennifer Love is a gorgeous woman!! She’s got delicious curves and looks amazing! I watch Ghost Whisperer regularly and am always thinking, “She is so beautiful.”

And now, there’s proof: Jennifer Love Hewitt was named TV’s sexiest woman by TV Guide. (Grey’s Anatomy’s Patrick Dempsey- not surprisingly- was named TV’s sexiest man.) Jen beat out Eva Longoria Parker of Desperate Housewives and Hayden Panettiere of Heroes.

The Office was pretty good last night. Not excellent, like last week- but still okay. I was hoping Stanley wouldn’t be so gentle on Michael. I was hoping he’d pull out his “nine” and “ice” Michael or something. Too bad.

I watched Miami Ink. I’m a big fan of the Inks (except for London Ink- I love everything about British culture but this show weirds me out, I don’t know why) but wasn’t able to catch any other episodes of the new season. Okay, they’ve got a new chick acting as Shop Manager and Yoji has been promoted to tattoo artist (”hopefully”, as Yoji said on last night’s episode) and Tim Hendricks has joined the shop full-time. He’s a friend of Chris Garver (*heart*) and did a guest spot at the shop once or twice before. He also won a tattoo challenge on Tattoo Wars. The guy’s got some skill and I’m glad that he’s joined the show.

I’ve watched bits and parts of several episodes of The Jon Dore Television Show and I think it’s hilarious. (I try to block the fact from my wee mind that Jon Dore was once associated with Canadian Idol. I mean, ew.) This guy is raunchy, crude and he’s got a filthy potty mouth. And I LOVE him! He’s hilarious! This show is one of the best, funniest shows on the Comedy Network! (You can see several clips from the show on YouTube: click here to do a search.) P.S. This show has an 18 rating for a reason… just so you know.

The gorgeous Katarzyna was eliminated from the competition during last night’s episode of America’s Next Top Model. I actually thought she might stay longer because she’s got such a stunning face- but I think she was just too shy for Tyra’s taste. Between Katarzyna and Whitney, I’m glad Kat got the axe. I adore Whitney. The girl is gorgeous- and she even has delicious curves.

But for the winner, my money is on Anya. Fah shizzle.

Thanks to various Facebook groups that really introduced me to pin-up art (modern and vintage), I definitely knew who Bettie Page. When this movie first came out, I think I saw the commercial once and it even intrigued me then. But something came up and I completely forgot about the movie and left went on…

Time passed and last year, my interest in pin-up was born. I came across the name of legendary bondage, fetish and glamor model of the 1950s. Thus, I found this movie once again and decided to give it a try.

A friend said that it was “okay”, so that had me a little worried. But all and all, I really liked this film. Gretchen Mol makes Bettie sweet, innocent and yet- at the same time- deliciously naughty. Although I have read that the movie was far from historically accurate, I really like how it was made, going in and out of black-and-white and recreating some of Bettie’s bondage films. They seem so silly and innocent compared to… well… most music videos of today. The fact that so many of those films and photos were destroyed because they were considered so evil and corrupting is a shame. How much artistic history was lost because of something so innocent.

This film was charming and smartly executed… and it made me want to dish out some money to buy myself some leather lace-up kinky boots.
